Q and A
What do you love about your role?
What I love most about my role is simply the fact that I get to work with amazing people on a daily basis. Coming to the office every morning makes it a lot more easier. I would also have to say that my role has been an ongoing one and I’m continuously learning something new. But the real perk has to be travelling to places I have never thought of going. My last program was in Alaska !!!
What has been your career path to date, how did you progress to the NRS Media role?
I used to live in Montreal and worked for an international footwear company where I was exposed to different fields such as buying, international operations and event management. After 11 years of being in the fashion industry, I decided it was time for a change and a new challenge. I then decided to move to Toronto and that’s when my love affair started with NRS Media. I was initially hired as a bilingual Sales Operations Specialist and only ran programs in Canada. Since then, the company has evolved more than I could’ve imagine. Not only am I running programs across Canada and the US but I am now involved in different aspect of the company and one of them is taking part of our CRM development which is something new and exciting.
How long have you worked for NRS Media?
February 24 marked my 3 years with NRS Media.
What’s different about working for NRS Media?
Having worked for a big company in the past, you sometimes have the feeling that everyone is working to reach their own personal goals and it’s basically all about themselves. NRS Media is different – everyone is working towards the same goal and everybody wants to see the next person succeed. If you need help, support or have a question, you know you only need to ask.
What have you learned during your time at NRS Media?
Every day I learn something new. Sometimes it’s from a meeting, or being on the field and other times is from having lunch with my peers but the fact that I can apply those new learning to my day to day work or to my personal life – that is greatest learning of all.
