Brian Duffy
Brian was a founding partner of NRS Media (formerly New Revenue Solutions) and served as CEO until December 2003.
Brian’s background is in Australian and New Zealand radio. During his time as General Sales Manager at Radio Windy in Wellington, he and Doug Gold turned an under-performing radio station into a pot of gold, coming up with innovative ways to substantially increase revenue.
So groundbreaking were their ideas and so successful was their collaboration, that they set up NRS and in 1990 brought this to Australia, with HOFM in Hobart, Tasmania and TTFM in Melbourne, Victoria.
Following outstanding success in Melbourne, NRS was offered a contract with ARN stations. This prompted the establishment of a Sydney office in 1992, with Brian continuing to drive the expansion of the company.
Brian has been indispensable in identifying the templates for success and rolling them out. Today he is focused on controlling the growth of NRS Media and ensuring its potential is fully realised.

Doug Gold
Doug is a founding partner of NRS Media, alongside Brian Duffy, and has served as a Director since 1991 and was Chairman until Brian Duffy took the reins in 2004.
Doug’s media career spans over 40 years, of which around 30 years were in radio management and ownership. He started his radio career in New Zealand, where he owned and managed a number of successful radio stations. Most notably, Doug bought a number of radio frequencies post deregulation of New Zealand’s radio industry (1991) and established the More FM radio network.
It was here that he developed his unique and very successful sales approach, and an innovative people-oriented management and sales philosophy.
This innovative customer acquisition program proved to be the springboard which launched the company as a unique provider of incremental sales revenue for media stations.
From the Persuaders consultancy, which he set up with Brian, they expanded the NRS philosophy into Australia in 1991 and then into the US in 1995.
A testament to his success is the numerous broadcasting awards he has won over the years, including a US award – International Broadcaster of the Year – two years in a row; Broadcaster of the Year, and his most prestigious award – Outstanding Contribution to Radio.
